dc.description.abstractThe topic of this thesis concerns the translation of tourist brochures and how the message of the original text, along with the intended perlocution, is transferred to the translated text. The thesis mainly looks at translations from Arabic to English. The analysed translations were found from ten brochures that were collected from the Moroccan office of tourism, and another website that promote locations in Moroccan cities. The brochures promote locations situated in Morocco which promotes the food culture , The climate and the seasons, Crafts and Art de Vivre , A stimulating climate, Sports in contact nature, Sun and sand, City of Casablanca, City of Marrakech and City of Meknes of this country. The theoretical background for the text includes Relevance Theory and the linguistic concepts of locution, and perlocution. يهخصen
