| dc.description.abstract | The title of our research is the challenges of translating the dictionary of idioms from English to Arabic. In this thesis, we focused on the study of Proverbs and idioms by Judith severing as an attempt to analyze and conclude strategies that help students and translators translate proverbs and idioms from English to Arabic. For this purpose, we divided our research into two chapters, the first focused “on overview of the translation ofidioms and wisdom “, while the second chapter entitled "An analytical study of idioms and wisdom" was devoted to the analytical study of the code based on models derived from the Oxford Dictionary of idioms. We ended the research with a general conclusion that carried our conclusions. | en |
