dc.description.abstractThis study aims at investigating the role of Educational YouTube channels in increasing Master One (M1) students’ learning self-confidence in the Department of English at Mouloud MAMMERI University of Tizi-Ouzou. This piece of research is important because it explores how the use of Educational YouTube channels develop Master One (M1) students’ learning self-confidence. Moreover, it determines the attitude of Master One (M1) learners toward the use of this platform. Finally, this study aims at examining the role of educational YouTube channels in increasing students’ learning self-confidence. The research design is based on Bandura’s sources of information in his “self-efficacy” theory (1977) through which the data are gathered and analyzed. Both an online and a printed questionnaire are used as a data collection tool. They were distributed to seventy (70) Master One (M1) students. Then, the collected data are analyzed by using the mixed method research combining both Quantitative and Qualitative data analysis. The quantitative data are analyzed using The Rule of Three and Microsoft Office Excel. However the qualitative ones are analyzed using the Qualitative Content Analysis (QCA).The findings from this investigation reveal that Master One students have a positive attitude toward using Educational YouTube Channels. In addition, Educational YouTube Channels increase Master One (M1) students’ learning self-confidence. As a conclusion, the outcomes gathered from this research confirm the hypotheses and the research objectives mentioned in the General Introduction. The findings obtained from this investigation will give opportunities for further research in this area of study as well.
