| dc.description.abstract | الملخص باللغة العربية: كان محمد علي باشا يسعى لتوسيع نفوذه خارج حدود مصر، فقام بحملات عسكرية في بلاد الشام و الأناضول، مما أثار قلق الدول الأوروبية، خاصة بريطانيا و فرنسا و روسيا و النمسا . خشيت هذه القوى من أن يؤدي توسع محمد علي إلى الإخلال بتوازن القوى في المنطقة و سقوط الدولة العثمانية بالكامل، مما قد يؤدي إلى صراع أوروبي واسع. رغم أن فرنسا أبدت في البداية بعض الدعم لمحمد علي، إلى أن بقية الدول الأوروبية ضغطت من أجل وقفه، خوفا من طموحاته التوسعية. انتهى هذا التدخل في معاهدة لندن عام 1840م ، التي أجبرت محمد علي على الانسحاب من معظم الأراضي التي احتلها مقابل اعترافته كحاكم وراثي لمصر. الدول الأوروبية وقفت بشكل عام ضد توسعات محمد علي خوفا من زعزعة التوازن الإقليمي و تهديد مصالحها، رغم إعجابها بإصلاحاته الداخلية. Mohammad Ali Pasha Was seeking to expand his influence beyond the borders of Egypt, so he launched military campaigns in the levant and anatolia, which raised the concerns of the european powers, especially britain, France, russia, and austria these powers feared that muhammad ali’s expansion would upset the balance of power in the region lead to the complete fall of the ottoman empire, which could lead to a wider euopean conflict. Although France initially showed some support for Muhammad Ali the rest of the European countries pressured to stop him, fearing his expansionist ambitions. This intervention ended with the Treaty of London in 1840 , which forced Muhammad Ali to Withdraw from most of the territories he had conquered in exchange for recognition as hereditary ruler of Egypt . The European countries generally stood agaainst Muhammad Ali s expannsion, fearing that they would upset the regional balance and threaten their interests, despite their admiration for his domestic reforms. | |
