Abstract
This study is about using mind mapping as a technique to enhance EFL (English as a
Foreign Language) learners' vocabulary acquisition. The study has three main objectives,
including introducing the concept of mind mapping, analyzing the connection between mind
mapping and understanding and memorizing skills improvement, and determining the
effectiveness of mind mapping as a learning guide for vocabulary acquisition. The population
for the study was 43 pupils in their 3rd year at Yazouren Mohamed in Azeffoun (Tizi-ouzou),
and the data collection and analysis used a mixed methods approach. The study found a
significant relationship between the use of mind mapping and improved understanding and
memorization skills during vocabulary learning. The authors conclude that the use of mind
mapping in learning English vocabulary can help learners achieve a deeper level of learning.
