It is well known that translation is the link between different peoples, and it is playing an important role in transferring the different types of texts from one language to another ,that’s what we treated through our research about translating archaeological terms presented in book of داقميت يلإ ةلحر by Mohamed Laid Metmer. We tried to answer the problematic asked about how translate Archaeological terms from Arabic to English, during this process, we faced some difficulties in translating the right theory and suitable strategies due to the linguistic and cultural differences .despite all this we succeed to translate some chosen examples of the corpus and achieve to choose the equivalent terms using the communicative and semantic theories of Newmark.
