    Strategies of translating awareness campaigns against breast cancer from arabic into english. Case study: publications of two welfare associations (El Amel and El Fedjr).

    Scientific and medical translations are one of the most challenging types of translation. Dealing with, the translator may encounter several difficulties mainly related to medical terminology. Our research, entitled “Strategies of Translating Awareness Campaigns against Breast Cancer of the Two Welfare Associations El Amel and El Fedjr" from Arabic into English showed how these problems were tackled by applying Skopos theory and different translation strategies to solve the research problem. This study is an attempt to deal with awareness campaignstranslation textsand difficulties encountered while translating them from Arabic into English. In our research, we applied Skopos theory and translation strategies to translate medical texts and flyers on breast cancer.In addition, Semiotic approachwas included since our corpus is stuffed with pictures and symbols
