هدفتالدراسةالحاليةإلىمعرفةهلالإصابةبالأمراضالقلبيةتؤديإلى ظهورصدمةنفسية،كماحاولت الكشفعنمستوىظهورأعراضالصدمةالمتمثلةفيتناذرالتكراروالمواجهةوالتجنبعندالمصابين وكذلك حاولت معرفة مدى إدراك مرضى القلب بوجود دعم اجتماعي لهم وهلهذا الدعم ينعكسعلى الحالةالنفسيةلديهم،ولتحقيق أهدافالدراسةتمالإعتمادعلىالمنهجالعياديبتقنيةدراسةالحالة،وتمثلتعينة الدراسة في تسع حالات مصابون بأمراض القلب والشرايين متواجدون فيمستشفى أمراض وجراحة القلبياسفاعماربذراعبنخدةولايةتيزيوزووقدتمالاعتمادعلىالأدواتالعياديةالتالية:المقابلةالعيادية
